Describing the Devine

Here are Calrol Lombard and Ingrid Bergman, both pretty hot stuff in their day. A police radio description of them might sound the same. How would you describe them so the cops wouldn’t arrest the wrong girl? Would the eyes and chin do it?

I have a face file I keep on my computer. When I need a distinct face, I have a file full. If you knew where to look in Ballad of the Blacksmith’s Son you might find Kirk Douglas (the father), James Grant Benton (a childhood friend turned professional actor), and Gerry Lopez (the surfer).

Most artists look at the landscape they are painting. You should you look at the faces you write.
